Why Skardu transfers
need planning.
Skardu Airport operates mountain flights that are weather-dependent. Flight cancellations are common, particularly in early mornings and during monsoon season. When a flight cancels, you're either re-booked (sometimes the same day, sometimes not) or you need to decide about the road.
Having a Raahi driver at the airport means you have immediate options. If the flight cancels and you want to road it, we can arrange that. If you want to wait for re-booking, your driver waits with you. You're not stranded navigating ride-hailing apps in Skardu.
The same logic applies in reverse: your drop-off is timed to your flight with an appropriate buffer, and if mountain weather looks uncertain on your departure day, we'll flag it.

Included in all Raahi packages. Available standalone.We meet you at the arrivals hall at Skardu Airport (SKT) with a name board. Your Land Cruiser is waiting in the car park. You don't navigate anything.
Skardu Airport Drop-off
Included in all Raahi packages. Available standalone.End-of-trip transfer from your hotel in Skardu to the airport. Timed to your flight, including buffer for check-in and the airport's unpredictability.
Islamabad to Skardu (Road)
Available as standalone or trip segment.The Karakoram Highway from Islamabad to Skardu takes 14-18 hours depending on road conditions. We arrange a private 4x4 with an experienced KKH driver. The drive itself is spectacular: it's worth doing at least one direction rather than flying both ways.
Skardu to Islamabad (Road)
Available as standalone or trip segment.Same as the inbound: private vehicle, experienced driver, full KKH route. Overnight options available with a rest stop.
Intercity Transfers (Skardu Region)
Part of all multi-day Raahi itineraries.Skardu to Shigar, Skardu to Khaplu, Skardu to Deosai, and other multi-destination legs within Baltistan. These are all included in full Raahi itineraries and can also be arranged for guests who are already in the region.
