Every cookie this site sets, what it does, how long it lasts, and how to switch it off.

This site sets three cookies. Two are Google’s, for measuring traffic and adverts. One is ours, and it only remembers an answer you gave us. None of them is needed for the site to work, and turning all three off costs you nothing except that we stop being able to tell which pages are worth writing.

These live in your browser’s local storage. They never leave your device and they are never sent to us or to anyone else. Clearing your site data removes them.

Any of these works, and none of them needs our cooperation:
Nothing on this site is behind a cookie wall. Blocking all of them leaves every page, every journey and every guide working exactly as before.
We look at which pages people arrive on, which ones lead to a WhatsApp conversation, and whether an advert led anywhere. That is genuinely the whole of it. We do not build profiles of individual visitors, and the analytics data is not joined to your enquiry.
