How booking with us works, in the order it actually happens.

Raahi Retreats is a travel business based in Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. We arrange private trips: vehicles and drivers, hotel rooms, routing, and the planning that ties them together. These terms apply to the website and to any trip we arrange for you.
There are no prices on this website, and that is deliberate. Rates move with the season, the property, the vehicle and the size of your group, and a figure published in March is misleading by July. Every price comes from a written quote for your specific trip.
A quote holds for the period stated on it. Once that lapses we will requote, which sometimes means a different number, because the hotel rate behind it has changed and not because the conversation went a certain way.
Where we ever publish a limited-time package, it will say so on its face and carry its own dates.
To move from a conversation to a real plan, we ask for PKR 5,000. It unlocks your full itinerary, the specific hotels and rooms, the vehicle, and our attention on the dates you want.
It is non-refundable, because it pays for planning work that gets delivered to you whether or not you travel. It is also credited in full against your trip cost when you confirm, so if you go, it costs you nothing extra. Once paid you have 30 days to confirm your dates. If you need longer, ask: we would rather extend it than lose you to a deadline.
We ask for full payment to confirm a booking. That is what actually secures your hotel rooms and your vehicle, both of which are genuinely scarce in peak season.
Payment is by bank transfer (no fee, and what we recommend), JazzCash or EasyPaisa (1%). Account details are shared privately with you once you are ready, never posted publicly. A confirmation with your itinerary, hotels, vehicle and packing list follows within 24 hours of us receiving payment.
Nobody from Raahi will ever ask for your card number, your banking password, or a one-time code. If a message claiming to be us asks for any of those, it is not us. Check with us on +92 339 370 3068 before sending anything.
We handle cancellations case by case and try to be fair rather than formulaic.
Tell us as early as you can. The sooner we know, the more of your money we can protect.
Mountain weather closes the Skardu air route regularly. This is normal, it is not a failure of planning, and it is the single most common disruption our guests meet. Roads close for landslides and snow. We will rebook, reroute, or move you to the road journey, and we will keep you informed, but we cannot be responsible for an airline’s cancellation or for a road the authorities have shut.
We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers trip cancellation and medical treatment, for every guest, on every trip. Gilgit-Baltistan is remote and high; this is not a formality.
We are responsible for arranging what your quote says we will arrange, and for doing it with care: vetted properties, vehicles we would put our own families in, drivers who know these roads.
Hotels, airlines and restaurants are independent businesses. We choose them carefully and we deal with problems on your behalf, but we do not control them. We are not responsible for your personal belongings, for activities you arrange separately, or for consequences of ignoring your guide’s advice on altitude, weather or terrain.
Where something goes wrong that we are responsible for, our liability is limited to what you paid us for the trip.
The words, photographs and itineraries on this site are ours, and are not for republication without permission. We write our guides carefully and keep them current, but conditions in the mountains change faster than any website: treat them as informed guidance and confirm anything time-sensitive with us directly.
Talk to us first. Almost everything is fixable in a conversation, and we would much rather have one. These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan.
